Job Title: Repairs Planner

Rate: £17 per hour
Contract: 3-Month Temporary Contract (Potential to Extend)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a busy and fast-paced property services team based in Chippenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong scheduling and coordination experience within reactive maintenance or housing repairs.
This role is initially offered on a 3-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
The Role
As a Repairs Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating reactive and planned maintenance works, ensuring operatives are scheduled efficiently while delivering excellent customer service to residents.
You will act as the key link between tenants, operatives, and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed on time, within target, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling and allocating responsive repairs to operatives
- Managing diaries to maximise productivity and minimise travel time
- Liaising with tenants to arrange appointments and provide updates
- Handling incoming repair requests via phone and email
- Monitoring job progress and ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales
- Raising work orders and updating systems accurately
- Rescheduling appointments where required and managing emergency repairs
- Working closely with supervisors and contractors to resolve issues
- Maintaining accurate records on internal systems
Requirements
- Previous experience in a repairs planning, scheduling, or coordination role
- Background in social housing, property maintenance, or contractor environments preferred
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident using CRM or scheduling systems
- Strong customer service skills and problem-solving ability
