📍 Location: Birmingham, B1 2JB (Hybrid – 2 days per week at the office, 3 days remote)
💰 Salary: £58,000 – £67,000 per annum + £2,500 car allowance
📅 Contract: Fixed Term – 9 months

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (EWI) to oversee Fire Safety and External Wall Insulation (EWI) works for a 9-month fixed term contract. This role will involve managing projects across multiple localities, ensuring compliance, quality, and successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the delivery of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) actions and related improvement projects.

Ensure all works meet project timelines, quality standards, and health & safety compliance.

Allocate FRA actions to appropriate contractors and manage through to certified completion.

Maintain strong daily engagement with contractors and internal colleagues to ensure efficient project progress and customer satisfaction.

Support the Director of Operations in managing repair demand, packaging works, and mobilising subcontractors.

Maintain financial control, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget.

Oversee the receipt of External Wall Surveys (EWS), collaborating with consultants and fire safety leads to procure and appoint contractors.

Act as Client Contract Administrator for EWS projects, managing communications, handling complaints, and ensuring delivery to specification and budget.
About You
-
Proven experience as a Project Manager within EWI, Fire Safety, or related property improvement works.

Ideally from a trade or technical background, with a sound understanding of construction processes and contractor management.

Strong leadership and people management skills, capable of guiding teams and contractors to meet performance targets.

Excellent negotiation, risk management, and decision-making abilities, with experience managing contracts and resolving defects.

Effective communicator, able to engage confidently with contractors, consultants, and senior stakeholders.

Highly organised, results-driven, and adaptable, with the ability to work across multiple sites and occasionally attend out-of-hours meetings.

Recognised for integrity, initiative, and commitment to successful project delivery.
Requirements

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
