We are currently recruiting for a Planner to join an established and growing organisation based in Kingston upon Thames. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced operational environment.
The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating and overseeing the planning of works, ensuring jobs are scheduled efficiently and that resources, teams and customers are effectively managed.
A key part of the position will be overseeing the planning of all D&M works, ensuring activities are planned accurately, communicated effectively and delivered within the required timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily works and activities across multiple workstreams.
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of all D&M works.
- Allocate work efficiently to the appropriate teams and resources.
- Liaise with operational teams, engineers, supervisors and other key stakeholders to ensure works are delivered as planned.
- Monitor schedules and make adjustments where required to account for changes, delays or urgent works.
- Ensure all relevant information is accurately recorded and kept up to date.
- Communicate changes to schedules and priorities clearly and promptly.
- Help identify and resolve planning issues to minimise delays and maximise productivity.
- Maintain accurate planning records and systems.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines, service levels and operational requirements are met.
- Provide regular updates on planned and outstanding works.
- Support the wider team with general planning and administrative duties as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities. You will need to be comfortable working in a busy environment where plans can change quickly and strong communication is essential.
Previous experience within a planning, scheduling, coordination or operations-based role would be advantageous. Experience within utilities, construction, maintenance, highways or a similar environment would also be beneficial, although not essential.
