Contracts Manager
Essex to Cambridge
£55,000 – £65,000 + £6,000 car allowance
We’re looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a mix of commercial and residential projects across Essex through to Cambridge. This is a varied role offering something a little different from typical social housing work – ideal for someone who enjoys managing diverse projects and leading strong site teams.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for managing multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Projects include:

Planned maintenance for care homes

Ventilation upgrades in tower blocks

Domestic extensions

School and university refurbishments
-
Occasional social housing projects when quieter
You’ll oversee a team including a Project Manager and Supervisors, ensuring smooth delivery and maintaining excellent client relationships.
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Site Manager

Strong knowledge of construction, maintenance, and compliance standards

Ability to manage budgets, teams, and programmes effectively

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Based within commutable distance of Essex/Cambridge

SMSTS, First Aid, and a Full UK Driving Licence
