Planner

Location: NW2, London
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum (based on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Office Based)
Additional Requirement: Participation in an on-call rota for evenings and weekends when required.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an organised and proactive Planner to join a busy and fast-paced operational team based in NW2. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced scheduler or planner who enjoys coordinating resources, managing workloads, and ensuring excellent customer service delivery.

The successful candidate will play a key role in scheduling works, coordinating operatives, and maintaining effective communication between clients, residents, and field-based teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and allocate daily works to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Manage diaries effectively to maximise productivity and service delivery.
  • Monitor and adjust appointments in response to operational requirements.
  • Liaise with residents, clients, and operatives regarding appointments, access arrangements, and updates.
  • Ensure all works are planned within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual requirements.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and scheduling queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems in real time.
  • Monitor work progress and proactively address scheduling conflicts or delays.
  • Support management with performance reporting and operational administration.
  • Work closely with supervisors, contract managers, and operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing support during evenings and weekends when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, or coordination role.
  • Experience within social housing, repairs and maintenance, construction, facilities management, or a similar environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to respond to changing business needs.
