Site Manager – SHDF Retrofit Projects

Are you an experienced Site Manager with a proven track record delivering SHDF-funded retrofit or social housing energy efficiency projects? This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking main contractor delivering large-scale retrofit and refurbishment schemes across East London.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations on SHDF and social housing retrofit projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You’ll manage subcontractors, liaise with residents and local authorities, and uphold high standards of health, safety, and quality throughout.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all on-site activities for SHDF-funded retrofit works, including EWI, ventilation upgrades, and insulation.

Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of all project phases.

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and ensure adherence to company H&S policies.

Liaise with clients, residents, and local authorities to maintain strong working relationships and resolve any on-site issues.

Monitor progress against programme and report updates to the Project and Contracts Managers.

Ensure all site documentation, RAMS, and quality control records are completed accurately.
About You

Proven experience managing social housing retrofit or energy efficiency projects (SHDF experience essential).

Excellent knowledge of EWI, insulation, ventilation, and other retrofit works.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications.

NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) in Construction Site Management desirable.
