Role Overview:
An experienced and motivated Supervisor is required to oversee fire door installation and compliance works across a portfolio of social housing properties in North London. The position is with a leading Tier 1 maintenance contractor, responsible for supervising site teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
This role is split between office-based administration and on-site supervision, requiring strong organisational, technical, and communication skills. Proficiency in Excel for reporting, scheduling, and compliance tracking is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the installation of fire doors in occupied and void social housing properties.

Ensure all works are completed in compliance with relevant fire safety regulations and standards.

Review and manage Asbestos reports, ensuring correct procedures are followed where necessary.

Conduct pre- and post-inspections of works to ensure quality and compliance.

Liaise with residents, clients, and subcontractors professionally to minimise disruption.

Maintain accurate records of works carried out, variations, and compliance certificates using Excel.

Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Contracts Manager.

Monitor site safety, ensuring that Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times.

Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet programme targets.
Key Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising installation and compliance works, preferably within the social housing or property services sector.

SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification – essential.

Asbestos Awareness certification – essential.

Strong technical knowledge of fire door installation and fire safety compliance.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for record-keeping and reporting.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across a large geographical area.

Full UK Driving Licence.
