Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to oversee reactive and planned maintenance within the social housing sector. This role involves leading a team of operatives and subcontractors to ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard-while delivering outstanding customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage responsive and voids maintenance in both tenanted and vacant properties.
- Lead a team of operatives, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
- Conduct property inspections, ensuring repairs are completed effectively and in line with health & safety regulations.
- Collaborate with housing officers, contractors, and tenants to resolve repair issues promptly.
- Monitor and maintain KPIs and SLAs, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction.
- Plan and allocate workloads, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure strict compliance with housing regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and provide updates to senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within social housing.
- Strong understanding of housing maintenance, voids, and repairs.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Solid knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders.
